Does anyone else set a reading goal for the year? For the last two years I have managed to make it happen.  If you are not on Goodreads then you might want to take a look at it.  It's a great place for keeping track of what you read.

At the beginning of the year you can set a goal to read a certain amount of books. You can update your progress as you read. For 2019, I have set a goal to read twenty books, one non-fiction and one fiction concurrently. So I will always have two books on the go.

I'm currently reading a book titled "How Not to Write a Novel" by Howard Mittlemark and Sandra Newman. So far it is very entertaining.  Examples of poor writing are given so that you can see what not to do.  I have a feeling that I will be able to learn a lot from this book.

As far as the manuscript is going: I haven't written much past two thousand words. But, I have been getting some good ideas and have been writing them down.  Also, I have been working on optimizing this blog website so that you can eventually find this post.  I will be coming up with good ideas for posts as I continue to write.  Stay tuned.
